Abstract

GLM (Generalized Linear Model) is a wide use regression technique that represents generalization of standard regression linear models. GLM is a flexible framework for modeling and analysis variety of data coming from exponential distribution family, which is often case in experiments related to meteorological process. In this study, GLM is used as a part of hybrid interpolation technique "Regression Kriging" to estimate trend for average annual precipitation in Serbia for period 1961 - 1990. R package GSIF, primarily designed for modeling soil phenomena, is used to carry out whole estimation. In order to evaluate quality of estimation, besides to standard diagnostic procedures, results were compared to the results of obtained by multiple regression and standard regression Kriging.
